  • Leading board meetings and ensuring fair and transparent decisions
  • Providing strategic direction and leadership for the organisation
  • Representing Nexus Up at formal and community engagements
  • Overseeing governance and compliance with the Companies Act
  • Supporting and guiding fellow directors in their roles
  • Working closely with management to monitor organisational performance

Ms. Nonhlanhla Sewela

Treasurer
  • Managing budgets, financial planning, and monitoring income/expenditure
  • Ensuring proper bookkeeping and financial record keeping
  • Preparing financial reports for board meetings and donors
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and audit standards
  • Overseeing donations, grants, and financial controls
  • Working with accountants or auditors where necessary

Ms. Rethabile Glad Metane

Secretary
  • Recording accurate minutes of meetings and keeping official records
  • Managing all internal and external communication for the board
  • Ensuring compliance with CIPC (annual returns, updates, etc.)
  • Organising meetings, notices, and documentation
  • Safeguarding resolutions, policies, registers, and governance documents
  • Supporting directors with administrative duties

Executive Director
  • Overseeing day-to-day organisational and programme operations
  • Managing or supervising key projects and community activities
  • Supporting partnerships, community relations, and stakeholder engagement
  • Ensuring programmes align with Nexus Up's mission and vision
  • Helping secure funding, partnerships, or opportunities for growth
  • Supporting monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of projects
